PITCH MELTING PLANET

Send a Pitch, Share Your World

We’re open to story pitches, visual essays, short animations, experimental comics, and creative criticism. Bring a sharp angle, a clear format, and links to your work—bonus points for pieces that play with design, motion, and indie culture.

What we’re looking for

A clear angle and format: essay, interview, visual essay, comic, or animation-led post.

A tight scope with an estimated length, plus what visuals (GIFs, frames, art) you can provide.

Ideas rooted in digital art, design, animation, indie culture, and the internet’s weird corners.

A quick note on why you’re right for it—access, expertise, or lived experience.

2–3 links to recent work (published, portfolio, or socials) that show your voice and craft.

Submissions FAQ: what to send, and what to expect

READ THIS FIRST

We’re into visual-first storytelling and bold ideas: digital art series, short animations, motion tests, graphic essays, experimental writing, interviews with makers, and behind-the-scenes process posts. If it’s original, creditable, and designed to be experienced (not just skimmed), it’s in our orbit. Share context, intent, and any relevant links so we can see the full world around the piece.

We try to respond within 2–3 weeks, depending on volume and how asset-heavy the proposal is. If you haven’t heard back after that window, a single polite follow-up is totally welcome. If your pitch is time-sensitive (a release date, event, or embargo), put that in the first line so we can route it appropriately.

You keep ownership of your work. If we publish it, we’ll ask for the right to display it on Melting Planet and promote it with proper credit (including links and captions). Always note collaborators, fonts, samples, and source material. If AI tools were used, be transparent about which ones, how, and what parts were generated—clarity helps us evaluate ethics, originality, and attribution.
